Notes and observations

Weather is the wildcard in any sky event

On Thursday, I had two sky events I was looking forward to altered by the weather.

Clouds blocked a good view of the space shuttle Discovery, though I saw a part of the contrail from Paynes Prairie, south of Gainesville, with lots of other folks.

My plans to take out the telescope Thursday night were canceled due to clouds. There seems to be a conspiracy in the sky to stop me from viewing, but I will wait out these weather things.

In the meantime, it’s back to work for me.
